Story Post: Happy Chinese New Year 2009
Happy Chinese New Year of the Ox 2009… I hope you don’t meet an angry ox this year 
But I do hope you will meet a golden ox this year…

Anyway… Since its a happy time of the year… I’ll make up this story post by which I’ll tell you all of the story of the Lion’s journey

Once upon a time… In a land far far from KL.. There lived a lion who went on a journey… This lion has gone through many difficulties to complete this so called journey… And he has travelled far and wide to different houses to complete this one task handed down to him…
The one task that he must fulfill: Deliver a sacred scroll to a certain person
After travelling so far… He finally meet that person to whom he was suppose to give the scroll to… But the person wanted Lion to go through one final test
~The annoyed Lion~
Lion was annoyed of course with the final task given but he had to comply with it.
And the person told him his task… ‘ To successfully deliver the scroll to me… You must undergo a test of gravity… You shall walk on these long poles… And dance on them… If you are successful and you do not fall… You shall be awarded… But shall you fail in this… It will be pain and no ang pow for you this year…’
~And the Lion proceed to the poles~
He looked up and…
~Was shocked…~
WTF!!! The guy want me to die is it???
For before him… The poles stretched on and on…
~And Lion felt dizzy~
But deep inside, Lion knew that there wasn’t any other way to complete his task unless he went through with it…
So after taking a few deep breaths, Lion’s look had changed entirely… For he was determined…
~Bring it on, you long… poles~
And nearby the gong sounded over and over again… And the rhythm got Lion into a frenzy… He jumped up onto the first two poles and looked at what lies ahead for him
~The lights seemed to have dimmed and the crowds gathered to watch what was going to happen to Lion…~
~Lion was careful on his first steps on the pole~
Lion took on the battle with the poles… He still had uncertainties as to whether the poles were fully enforced into the ground or not, so his first move was to test out the two poles in front of him… When they didn’t give way under his weight he proceeded
~Lion getting the hang of things~
Lion moved on, he took a few more steps ahead, making things look easy for him… He was wondering deep inside, it can’t be this easy can it?
~And Lion moved on~
Suddenly, the earth seemed to tremble… Lion tried in vain to keep his footing on the poles but the trembles seemed to be too much and Lion lost it…
He fell face forward down the poles…
The crowd gasped
Lion thought it was over, that he couldn’t obtain that big fat angpow anymore… He closed his eyes, waiting for the thump that took forever to come
And waited…
I should have fallen by now, he thought and he opened his eyes slowly… And saw himself a feet or two above the ground…
What had happened, he wondered??
And he looked back and was startled…
~His hind legs were still on the poles…~
OMG!!!… I didn’t know I got such strong legs… He thought… It must have been all those milk I drank (So do drink milk for strong bones and possibly strong legs)
Slowly Lion regained a foothold of the poles and got back onto it…
The crowd cheered on as they saw Lion determination to get things done.
~And Lion was up once more~
He didn’t want to fall again… And he came out with his secret technique, the Crouching Lion, Hidden Leap…
He got into position…
And leapt…
~Lion’s movements was so fast that he blurred the cameraman’s photo shot…~
And the crowd got to the edge of their seats…
It was amazing, someone cheered…
And with that jump, Lion got through half of the poles in one leap…
He tried to make a second jump but the next poles seemed tricky…
~Lion still have to trot on slowly towards the end of the poles…~
No, he thought… I fell just now because I was too careful… And Lion got fired up once more… And he came out with a second Crouching Lion, Hidden Leap once more…
~And the disgruntled camera-man still failed to get the superb leap on his camera~
And the crowd wowed once more… And Lion felt his legs hitting solid ground… He had made it…
Lion was so happy that he stood up on his hind legs and spat out the scroll which he kept inside his mouth
~Lion made it~
And the person came and said to him… You have done it… You have done what you had set up to do and with that I thanked you and handed Lion and big red angpow…
~And the person took the scroll from Lion’s mouth…~
And it was over
Lion was exhausted and he went for a nap right after he handed the scroll to the person

Long night of flying back for Chinese New Year
Left for the airport at 3pm in the afternoon on the Uncle’s van… Didn’t really expected a long long night ahead… The flight was supposed to leave at 6.00pm but upon arriving at LCCT, we (LeiHong, SingYee, HuiIng, SiewFen, SinYu, AiWen, Cindy, KaeShuang etc etc) only found out that the flight we are going to be on was delayed to 6.35pm… After going through the long long queue at the check-in counter, we finally managed to get some food at McD before going into the boarding hall…

Waited until about 7pm when the plane finally landed at LCCT and it took almost another 20 minutes or so before everyone finally boarded and the plane got into the air… So we left at about 7.30pm… Expected time of arrival was at 9.30pm…
7.50pm: Dinner was served… Fought back an urge to get something to eat and drink since the in-flight are always overpriced… Regretted on this later
8.20pm: Finish reading a book, started to read a second one on my PSP…
8.40pm: Started to fall asleep… Had been having very little sleep for the past few nights and felt drowsy…
9.xxpm: Woke up… Some time might have passed… But we were still in mid-air… Thought that we are finally reaching Labuan and were descending… A couple of mid air-revved up engines showed otherwise though…
9.35pm: Checked the watch and found the time… The captain’s voice echoed throughout the speaker… Informing bad news… We are to make a detour to KK International Airport as a thunderstorm in Labuan prevent the plane from landing. There were laughter and of course frustration among the passengers. I feel the more towards the latter… But since its the safe way to go… I guess its okay.
~Outside is the KK International Airport
9.50pm: Plane descended and landed at KK International Airport… The head stewardess and the pilot seemed to be very very regretful of the situation though. So far, we have seen people coming on board onto the plane… Mostly field officers of the airport I guess to inform the pilot of the current situation…
So far there isn’t any information on when we’ll be making the return trip to Labuan airport… But worst case scenario will always be… We’ll be stuck in KK overnight…
~Everyone is looking very tired~
Updated: 10.07pm: The captain’s voice came out on the speaker saying that the weather in Labuan has cleared up considerably… And that the plane may be able to continue it’s journey within 20 minutes or so…
Updated: 10:29pm: Still no signs of movements. The cabin crew rolled out the snacks bar once more and start selling drinks to the passengers again… I felt that in this situation, the more proper method may be to give out free drinks to those on board instead.
Updated: 10:40pm: The cabin crew seemed to be moving about getting everyone back in place… The captain informed us that we will me taking off shortly…
Updated: 12:23am: Just managed to complete this post… Arrived at Labuan Airport at around 11.30pm… Since I didn’t have the chance to check-in any bag, I didn’t have to wait for the bags to come out… So I went off first… And that marks the end of a very very long night
Finally…All I’m looking forward to now is a good rest 
P/S: I heard from the guy sitting next to me that the passengers for the next flight from Labuan to KL who are delayed for more than 2 hours cause the plane(Which we are on) is delay obtained RM200 of vouchers from AirAsia…
Er??? Where is mine then??? I waited at the airport for more than an hour and a half and then on the plane for around half hour… And then a plane trip which was suppose to take only 2 hours got dragged to almost 4 hours… Sien ler… I want my cash voucher too

Hmmm… Watching that makes me wanna sing even more
C Reunion Dinner 2009
First off… The C Reunion Dinner was held at a restaurant which I had visited at least twice before this for other dinners. My first visit to JUMBO restaurant at South City was when it was still called Golden Lake restaurant. And that happened during my 1st year CAD back in 2005.
The second time I ate another dinner at this restaurant was during the 2008 CSSUPM Annual Dinner (alternative review-same author) last March. And by chance the Reunion Dinner is held at the exact same room as the CSSUPM Dinner. So guess I’m quite acquainted to the place already.
~Sorry the photos taken during the night wasn’t really good… I’m kinda disappointed~
~Everyone, this is Samantha… Best dressed for 1st years~
~The few 3rd years. The post grads was seated alongside a 2nd year and the 3rd years. Surprisingly there was more post-grads than 3rd years… What happened to them???~
~Throughout the night, there were activities that requires for punishments such as pulling the ears~
And the prizes was different things ranging from simple tit-bits (I got a packet of jelly) to cash prizes (The most is RM10 ONLY…~~) Well, at least getting jelly is better than getting 10 cents or 20 cents.
I just noticed that I didn’t really take much photos of the place where they had their dances… Only have videos of those dances… Will be uploading them shortly…
But as in any dinner… There will be a first year who is the most unfortunate because he has to sit elsewhere to control the A/V (Sort of like what I did for the 2nd Year Biomed Annual Dinner)… And for this time, it was this guy.

And he was the one who get the least exposure as well… See… Even when those who noticed him want to take photo of him, there are two others who jump in front of him and block him… Kesiannya…~
Feel like there may have been a pact to stop him from shining out throughout the night…

Food wise… There is Yee-Sang… Which we ‘lao’ till everything was all over the place… Haiyo… These juniors should really know how precious food is to those people in Africa… And here you ‘lao’ your Yee-Sang till it flies everywhere..
And there was a few other dishes as well… Such as…
~Chicken (I think) and there was another chicken as well… Didn’t take that photo though~
~Salted cuttlefish vegetables~
~A very big plate of steamed fish~
And also dessert…
Which may explain why I felt underfed, malnourished throughout the night… Seriously, there was too little to eat. I even had to cook some noodles-ala-Alan after reaching back home to satisfy my hunger…

Erm, the best thing of night will have to be the K-session I guess, since that’s the only source of entertainment we have after the 1st year dance and punishment session…
Well… Some were good at it… Some were not too good… (Hope I belonged in the 1st one… If I’m one of the latter one… Then blame it on Elaine for pulling me to sing )

All-in-all, it was a good different night for me compared to the time I spent in my room after work… I enjoyed it to a certain extent… Thanks for inviting me… But please make it cheaper next time…

At the chinese reunion dinner… It was cool… I didn’t know how the others think of it as though…
But it was really cool… Love it… Love to sing very much

That must be what is happening to my car at the moment… Imagine waking up one morning to find more than 5 bird droppings on the front hood of your car…
And imagine seeing the prints of a cat on the hood of the car as well… OMG… What are they having?? An Alien vs Predator Part 3 spinoff??? Birds vs Cats??
A shocker of an ending
This will be one of the few times I actually state out what I dreamt in the blog…
Have you ever noticed that dreams sometimes begin with the stupidiest beginning and ends with the most unimaginable ending… Well I just had one… Got a dream that I was running away from my parents or something… (I know its stupid)… And it was at quite a grand party somewhere with a lot of other people… And then the ending was unsuspected…
I remember seeing a guy walking down the stairs… Being very very cool and sorts… Everyone suddenly stopped what they were doing and looked at him… If I were to guess… There should be some sort of feud of a disagreement somewhere…Well… The guy was a bit tense… He walked down the stairs quite a bit before deciding to turn back up the stairs… But suddenly he sprung around and held out a gun… And shot someone close… Panic erupted… And he rushed down the stairs obviously to ’shoot’ the person that he was having the feud with. Everyone else sort of try to stop him… And the last I heard was a loud ‘boom’ and smoke was everywhere…
It felt really real… Sort of like giving me the idea of how people felt when faced with situation like that… :shudders:
Update: After that horridous dream… I went back to sleep and had one of the best dream ever… Hahaha… So romantic…
Have I changed??
I remember last time if I really wanted to acheieve something, I would give it my all… Be persistent… Doing crazy things everyday just to acheive it… Now… There is something I want to acheive… But then… Everytime something bad happens on my way towards acheiving it… The thought of giving up is there… Its as if I rather give up on it than to be persistent once more… Did I lost my passion for it?? Have I changed??
